Description
Traditionally in West Africa, waist beads have been a part of a “coming of age” ceremony for young girls as they embark upon womanhood. In America, our culture has embraced wearing waist beads as a sign of sensuality, affirmation, loyalty, honor, even celibacy. We encourage to speak your own personal prayers or affirmations as to why you have chosen to wear them.
Beads will naturally help you gauge weight gain and loss.
Beads are approximately 50 inches from end to end.
How To Put On:
Size your waist with beads, removing extra beads if necessary
fit to waist and tie where the beads on both end meet in a series of knots to secure
Trim string 1/2 an inch from knot
